Occupy America:
The United States Government has proven to us, in light of the current economic crisis, that it will not protect The People. This current economic crisis that we are now faced with has infected the rest of the world. It was avoidable. Our government only needed to create simple regulations to keep banks and Wall Street in check. Instead, our government stood idly by while banks and corporate executives robbed this country.
As a result, the economy is collapsing, and the middle classes are bearing the burden.
We have lost our jobs. Lost our homes. Lost our affordable access to health insurance and education. Is this the America we work hard for?
America is the greatest country in the world. I love it. I would shed my blood for its people, the 99%. I love them enough to say that our government has gone astray. A democracy is supposed to serve the people, and our government has proven to us that it serves the 1%, the elite. I say, enough! It is time for us, the people, to take our country back!
